Steps to Lend
Connect Your Wallet Open Orchid and connect your wallet to access lending features.
Choose a Market Navigate to Markets and select the asset you want to supply. Markets are organized into pooled and isolated categories depending on risk profile.
Supply Assets Enter the amount you wish to supply and confirm the transaction. The first time you supply an asset, a one-time approval transaction is required.
Start Earning Once confirmed, your assets are supplied to the protocol and begin earning yield immediately.
You can view and manage your supplied assets from the Dashboard at any time.
How Yield Is Earned
Yield on Orchid is generated directly from protocol usage.
Borrowing Interest Suppliers earn a share of interest paid by borrowers. Yields increase as demand for borrowing rises.
Market Utilization Higher utilization generally leads to higher supplier yield, reflecting increased demand for liquidity.
Each asset has its own market dynamics and current rates are visible directly in the Markets view.
Supply Parameters
Minimum Supply There is no minimum supply amount. Users should consider transaction costs when supplying smaller amounts.
Supply Caps Each asset may have a maximum supply limit to manage protocol risk. Once reached, additional supply is temporarily restricted.
Supply limits and availability are always shown before confirming a transaction.
Using Supplied Assets as Collateral
By default, supplied assets can be enabled as collateral to support borrowing.
You can toggle collateral usage on or off for each asset from the Dashboard.
Disabling collateral does not withdraw the asset, but it removes it from your borrowing power.
Assets actively supporting a loan cannot be withdrawn if doing so would put your position at risk.
Withdrawing Supplied Assets
Open your Dashboard or the specific asset market.
Select Withdraw and choose the amount.
Confirm the transaction.
Withdrawals depend on available liquidity. If most of an asset is currently borrowed, you may need to wait for repayments or additional supply before withdrawing.
